Mayfield Auto Repair

I hate to leave a two-star review for a mechanic shop, but I definitely feel that I was overcharged for replacing a brake light switch. My brake lights stopped working, and this was the closest shop to where I work. Since I didn’t want to drive all the way to my regular mechanic without working brake lights, this place was my best option. It took them less than an hour to diagnose the issue and fix it, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. However, the price was WAY too high for this type of repair. The part itself costs around $20–$40 max, and my regular mechanic would have done the entire job for around $110. This shop charged me about FOUR TIMES that amount. I checked typical prices online afterward, and as I suspected, this repair should have cost at least three times less than what I was charged. Unfortunately, I was in a situation where I didn’t have many other options because I couldn’t safely drive around without brake lights. Based on this experience, I personally wouldn’t come here for any major repairs. **Update: I appreciate the response trying to make it right but I wish you guys would have been fair with the cost from the start. I will contact you soon. As

I had a great experience with this auto repair shop! They were professional, helpful, and were able to identify and solve the problem with my car. I really appreciate their service and making the whole process easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy repair shop!

Quick, efficient, and fair priced. Rod and Odell immediately got to work on my truck when I was in a time crunch. Couldn’t ask for better customer service. Communications was clear and they will stand behind their work. They are also willing to work with external parts (not typical for most shops in the DFW area) I’d give them 6 if it was an option. Give them a call you won’t be disappointed

Odell and Joseph were super nice and easy to work with. They were very knowledgeable about fixing my Toyota's oil leak (it was gushing 1-2 quats a week). They were able to quickly figure out which gaskets had failed and replace them. They replaced the rear main seal gasket, oil pan, along with a few other gaskets for a very reasonable price and quick. The car runs better than before for sure. Definitely going back. Highly recommend.
